Plumbing inspections are required when doing plumbing alterations, like sump pump replacements, water heater replacement, sewer repairs and other fixture replacement. State licensed plumbing contractors are required to obtain plumbing permits prior to doing plumbing work regulated by code (Chapter 9-Article IV).
