Why is the City doing the Sidewalk Repair Program?

The City is doing a sidewalk program to help reduce sidewalk repair costs to homeowners. There have also been numerous lawsuits by individuals claiming injury due to the condition of the sidewalk. These lawsuits expose both the City and property owners jointly to litigation.
